What are concentrates?

There has been lots of buzz lately over the new types of cannabis concentrates out on the market. With the legalization of all edibles, topicals, and extracts; we have seen a major influx of new and exciting products hitting the shelves. Cannabis was legalized in Canada on October 17th, 2018, and the cannabis industry has come a long way since then. There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to the new frontier of cannabis products. Let’s try and break down a few of the key categories in this new and exciting world.

We have seen a shift in focus from flower to THC concentrates over the past couple of years. You can find a plethora of fun new products out there, such as diamonds and shatter. There are certainly added health benefits to the inhalation of extracts versus flower. Nearly all of the plant matter has been removed when you are dealing with a high-quality extract like CLEAR Distillate or ETHOS Honey Oil. This means that there is a far lower percentage of tar when consuming extracts.

Diamonds and Sauce is a brand new form of extract that has everybody raving. This is the highest quality form of extract you can find on the market, ranging from hash to distillate. When extracted properly, the THC will crystallize separately from the terpenes and other cannabinoids, leaving you with two distinctly separate products. The diamonds contain all of your THC which gives you the “high” whereas the sauce is packed full of flavourful terpenes and other beneficial cannabinoids.

CBD products have really taken the health and fitness world by storm. Whether you are suffering from a physical ailment or looking to maximize your full athletic potential, there are a variety of CBD products that will work great for you. Medical patients tend to lean towards products that are accurately dosed and easy to consume, such as CBD gel caps. Athletes and other fitness-focused consumers tend to enjoy products like CBD Recovery drinks or assorted CBD gummies.

Cannabis concentrates and other forms of extracts are very exciting and we can’t wait to see what happens in the future.
